As a shorty it was a golden rule to not touch,bump or take the lid off my pops Technics Turntables.He had a little record player that was designated for family use but the Technics only came out when he copped a NEW album or when he would spin at family functions.I remember him keeping a spare needle in a box lined with red velvet.I remember going to parties and going over to peep what kinda turntables the Dj had and looking like something was missing if I didn't see TECHNICS on the tables.
It's crazy how something so fundamental to hip hop and music is now about to be discontinued...in my lifetime.
